My full day wedding photography service gives you 8 hours coverage of your Buckinghamshire wedding. Start with groom and bridal prep or kick-off later in the day to get more cover of your evening party, you decide.
Micro wedding photography
Perfect for small weddings, my micro wedding package provides three-hours of wedding cover. Just as a guide, three hours can cover guest arrival, ceremony photos, a few group pics and some bride and groom portraits.
Editing and photo retouching
All of your wedding images are edited for correct exposure, colour balance, sharpness and cropping as part of the package. For an additional fee per image, I also offer retouching services including, removing blemishes, diminishing wrinkles and improving skin tone.
Destination elopement photography
If you’ve already tied the knot and you just want to capture a few bride and groom portraits in a special place, my destination elopement photography service could be ideal. You choose the destination; it can be in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire or London and together we’ll spend three hours creating beautiful wedding stories. All of your photos are edited in colour but if you love black and white, I’ll be happy to do a selection for you in both finishes.
Delivery-wise, I’ll always have your full edited album to you within 14 days of your wedding.

Buckinghamshire is jam-packed with gorgeous wedding venues, many of which I’ve been lucky to photograph. Here are some of my favourite Buckinghamshire venues that you might want to consider if you haven’t booked your dream wedding venue yet.
Buckinghamshire Railway Centre
If you fancy a slightly quirky wedding celebration, Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is worth considering. Close to the village of Quainton, the venue is licenced for civil ceremonies with up to 150 guests.
The railway centre will also give you masses of interesting opportunities for wedding photos – taking in the street party-style decoration and steam trains, along with 25 acres of countryside, you’re assured a most memorable day.
Burnham Beeches Hotel
Beautiful Burnham Beeches, with its manicured gardens and elegant Georgian facade is a great value choice for anyone getting married in Buckinghamshire.
The hotel can accommodate up to 120 guests for an indoor ceremony and wedding breakfast and a further 60 guests for evening celebrations.
There are 10 acres of grounds to entertain guests and take romantic portraits. You’re also right in the heart of Burnham Beeches itself if you fancy wondering into the woodland for a few romantic couple photos.
Chicheley Hall
Chicheley Hall near Newport Pagnell is a gorgeous wedding venue in the heart of Buckinghamshire. I’m a huge fan of Georgian architecture and this Grade I listed country house is an exquisite example of the period.
The venue can host up to 110 guest for ceremonies and receptions; it can also provide overnight accommodation in one of 47 en-suite rooms.
Both inside and outside the venue, there are wonderful places to enjoy with guests. You’ll also find a host of locations for wedding photography.
Crown Plaza Marlow
The Crown Plaza at Marlow is a large contemporary wedding venue close to the market town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire.
Sitting on five acres of landscaped gardens with a private lake and attractive topiary, the Crown Plaza offers a stylish setting to enjoy with guests. It also offer lots of lovely spots for wedding photos of couples.
The venue offers indoor ceremony opportunities in bright modern suites for up to 450 guests. It also has overnight accommodation in one of 168 guest rooms and suites.
Danesfield House Hotel
A splendid stately home in Buckinghamshire, built in 1901, Danesfield House is a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony and reception. Set in 65 acres of landscaped gardens, Danesfield House is a favourite location for wedding photos of couples.
The venue has four licenced ceremony suites accommodating up to 120 guests in the house or up to 200 guests outside in a Marquee. When you host your wedding at Danesfield house you can have exclusive use of the House. The venue also offers overnight accommodation for you and your partner, along with complimentary spa membership for one month.
De Vere Latimer Estate
This charming Victorian country mansion is one of the county’s premium wedding venues and a firm favourite with wedding photographers in Buckinghamshire.
Set in 20 acres of landscaped gardens, Latimer House has recently undergone a £7m refurbishment adding 21st century comfort to its period features and charm. The venue is licenced to host civil ceremonies for up to 200 guests and can also offer overnight guest accommodation in one of 103 bedrooms.
Dorton House
Buckinghamshire has very few Jacobean mansions, which makes Dorton House virtually unique in the county as a wedding venue. Another rare feature is the presence of a 12th century Dorton church – just metres from the house – where you can exchange vows in a religious ceremony.
Outside the church, there are plenty of stunning backdrops for group photos, candid shots and artistic wedding photography.
Dorton House is also a licenced venue for civil ceremonies. The venue has capacity for up to 130 guests both inside the house and outdoor on the front and south porticos.
With 30 acres of parkland, there’s plenty of space for a marquee, giving you capacity up to 500 guests.
Endeavour Woodland Weddings
If natural, organic environments are more your cup of tea, how about a woodland wedding at Endeavour Woodland Weddings in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Close to Milton Keynes, Endeavour provides the perfect escape from modern life and is ideal for tipi and festival-style weddings.
Available for bookings between May and September, Endeavour can accommodate up to 130 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast.
Hampden House
A quintessential English country manor, Hampden House is set in the heart of Buckinghamshire’s Chiltern Hills, in a stunning wooded enclave. Its immaculate lawns, tree lined drive and spectacular Elizabethan architecture make it a dream venue for fine art wedding photography.
If you’re considering Hampden House as your wedding venue, you won’t be disappointed. There are three locations, inside the house where you can host your wedding ceremony. For a grand setting you can also choose to say “I do” in the ornate Great Hall.
In addition to ceremonies inside the house, you’ll also find the 13th-century Parish Church of Great Hampden, St Mary Magdalene, located in the magnificent grounds, just a short walk from the house if you have your heart set on a church service.
The elegant dining room has capacity for 100 guests seated or 150 for a champagne reception. Alternatively, a marquee can be arranged for up to 200 guests during the spring and summer months.
Hedsor House
A Georgian mansion in the Italianate style, Hedsor House blends the elegance of 18th and 19th century architecture with stylish contemporary features, to create a sumptuous wedding experience and the perfect backdrop for wedding couple photos.
Whatever you’re dreaming of – whether it’s an intimate 60 guest wedding or a lavish reception for 150 guests – Hedsor House will do everything possible to make your dream come true.
In addition to being licenced for civil ceremonies inside the house, you can also choose to marry at St Nicholas’ Church, just 300m from the property.
Throughout your stay, you’ll have exclusive use of this beautiful Buckinghamshire mansion, excellent for privacy and photography.
Hedsor House has a fabulous bridal suite, along with 10 further guest bedrooms and the option of two palatial suites.
Horwood House
If you’re looking for a romantic wedding venue in Buckinghamshire with period charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Horwood House has it all. A fantasy location for every wedding photographer, Horwood House sits at the end of an elegant tree lined drive in 38 acres of landscaped gardens.
Horwood House is licenced to hold civil ceremonies both inside and out; the house has indoor capacity for up to 190 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast and a further 60 guests for your evening celebrations.
A complimentary suite is included for the bride and groom on their first night of marriage and guest accommodation is available in the venues 185 en-suite bedrooms.
Kings Chapel
Tucked away, behind the Kings Arms on Old Amersham High Street, is Kings Chapel, an 18th century chapel and former Sunday school, now a popular wedding venue in Buckinghamshire. The chapel features a curved first floor mezzanine and a domed ceiling with a glazed cupola. This helps to fill the chapel with natural light as you exchange your vows and ease the job of your photographer. The chapel is used for both your wedding ceremony and your wedding breakfast and can seat up to 120 guests for dinner.
If you’re dreaming of an outdoor ceremony, you can also exchange vows in the chapel’s pretty walled garden to the rear although there is limited capacity to around 35 guests I believe.
When it comes to capturing private memories of your day, there are several locations in and around the chapel you can create artistic wedding photos without interruption.
For overnight accommodation, you don’t have to go far. You’re already on site for the Kings Arms which has 32 guest rooms available for anyone that doesn’t want to drive home.
Macdonald Compleat Angler
The Macdonald Compleat Angler Hotel is a venue I’ve loved since moving to Buckinghamshire 30 years ago. Located next to Marlow Bridge on the River Thames, the Compleat Angler is licenced to hold civil ceremonies for up to 120 guests and offers you a choice of three suites in which to exchange your vows. If you’d prefer a religious ceremony, All Saints church in Marlow is literally opposite the hotel; there’s also a catholic church in the town, less than five minutes away.
After the ceremony, the bridal boat is available if you need a little time on your own; it also provides a beautiful setting for your couple wedding photos.
Guest accommodation is available at the hotel in one of 64 bedrooms and suites.
Missenden Abbey
Set in 10 acres of magnificent grounds in the heart of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, Missenden Abbey is an excellent venue for celebrating your wedding day.
Whatever the weather, Missenden Abbey looks beautiful and even on the coldest days you can’t help but be charmed by its setting as you take a few moments out with your wedding photographer.
When you plan your day at the abbey you can choose from the Library or the Garden Room for your ceremony; both are licenced for up to 100 guests.
During the summer, the abbey is also able to provide a marquee for larger weddings although you’ll still want to come inside to capture wedding portraits with some of the exquisite features, like the grand vaulted ceilings and ornate stained-glass windows.
To celebrate the first night of your married life, the abbey offers newlyweds complimentary use of the bridal suite; the suite is also available for getting ready before your ceremony.
In addition, the venue 57 en-suite rooms you can reserve for guests.
Monkton Barn
Just outside Marlow, surrounded by beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, Monkton Barn is a great choice for a rustic festival style wedding with up to 450 guests.
Set in 10 acres of woodland and meadows, Monkton Barn won’t leave you disappointed with your wedding photography either; whether you prefer candid, docu-style photos or Tim Walker-style editiorial photography, Monkton Barn has it all.
It’s also excellent value for money, with prices starting from £2,500.
Notley Abbey
Built in the 12th century, Notley Abbey was once the home of Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, and today is a glamorous and romantic wedding in South Buckinghamshire. You approach the abbey along a beautiful, long, tree-lined driveway and this is also a wonderful spot for some fine art wedding photography.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies are held in the ‘nook’ in the Walled Garden. Inside, the Abbott’s Hall is an elegant, intimate, oak-beamed ceremony space with a stunning feature fireplace dating back to Henry V. For ceremonies of up to 172 guests, the Monks’ Refectory – a splendid stone barn – provides the perfect option. The abbey also features a luxury bridal suite and eight further bedrooms.
Notley Tythe Barn
Formerly part of Notley Abbey, Notley Tythe Barn is now a stunning wedding barn located in 500 acres of farmland close to Thame in Buckinghamshire.
Rackleys
Rackleys Chiltern Hills was a new wedding venue in Buckinghamshire in 2021. Based in Cadmore End near to Marlow and Stokenchurch, Rackleys is a three hundred year old converted barn. Unlike many other barns of that age, it’s filled with natural light which means you’ll still get great photos even if the weather’s bad. It’s also surrounded by stunning countryside, providing the perfect backdrop to your wedding.
Stoke Park
A Palladian mansion with a touch of regency charm, that’s how I’d describe historic Stoke Park. The late 18th century white stone building stands majestically in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
This five-star luxury wedding venue has eight rooms licenced for civil ceremonies – catering for up to 150 guests – as well as the south terrace, which is available for outdoor weddings.
Overnight guests can stay in one of 49 stunning bedrooms at the venue.
Stoke Place
Sitting in 26 acres of secluded parkland with a landscaped garden courtesy of Capability Brown, Stoke Place provides a perfect setting for your wedding day at any time of the year.
The Queen Anne mansion is a wonderful place to explore and take photos.
When you book your wedding at Stoke Place, you have exclusive use of the house, including 39 bedrooms for overnight guests. The venue has capacity for up to 200 guests.
Stowe House
Definitely my favourite venues in Buckinghamshire, 17th century Stowe House offers the ultimate in luxury wedding celebrations.
Hosting just 15 weddings a year, your day really can be unique. The house offers a breath-taking choice of state rooms for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. From the exquisitely decorated Music Room and the Pantheon inspired Marble Saloon to the State Dining Room, Temple Room and Blue Room, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Probably the finest work of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, Stowe’s 750 acres of gardens and parkland, including several stunning temples. All of which have to be seen… and photographed… with your wedding photographer.
The Bull Hotel
The Bull Hotel is a charming historic venue in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The hotel has four recently refurbished suites, all licensed for civil ceremonies; the largest is able to accommodate up to 130 guests for ceremonies and 200 for receptions.
If your guests are planning to spend the night at the Bull, they can select from one of the hotel’s 150 four-star bedrooms or luxury suites.
One surprising feature of this 17th century coach house is the lush, tropical planting in the gardens, which provide a backdrop to your wedding photos you might not expect to find in the English countryside.
The Coach House Barn at Dorney Court
Surrounded by woodlands, lakes and parkland, Dorney Court is a glorious setting for a romantic country house wedding in Buckinghamshire.
You can exchange your wedding vows in the delightful 12th Century church on the estate or host a civil ceremony in the Coach House Barn or the main house.
Dorney Court can accommodate between 15 and 125 guests for ceremonies and up to 250 guests in a marquee for dinner and evening entertainment.
Outside you’ll have no end of opportunities for beautiful wedding photography. And at the end of the day, you and your spouse can enjoy the first night of your married life in Gale Cottage, the estate’s charming self-catering cottage.
The Crazy Bear Beaconsfield
The Crazy Bear is an exotic oasis of calm in the heart of Beaconsfield. Once a 15th century coaching house, the Crazy Bear has been lavishly decorated in a style reminiscent of Philippe Starck, at least in my perception.
The bar area in particular with its sumptuous purple velvet and silver gilded furniture immediately made me think of the Sanderson Hotel in London; albeit, there are no zebra heads on the walls at the Sanderson.
The authentic colours and styling of the Moroccan Lounge will make you feel you’re in another time and place, providing an intimate backdrop to your celebrations and those essential photos with your wedding photographer.
You can book the Crazy Bear for your entire day or just the reception. The venue is licenced to host civil ceremonies for up to 36 guests and has capacity for 100 guests in the evening. You and your guests can also stay in one of the hotel’s 45 individually decorated bedrooms.
The Dairy
The Dairy at Waddeson Manor is a luxury wedding venue on the outskirts of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. Built during the 19th century, as the country retreat for the Rothschild family, the Dairy is a perfect location for a small to mid-size wedding with up to 150 guests.
The grounds of the Dairy feature a wonderful lake with a waterside pavilion and a rustic gazebo, as well as manicured lawns, a secret garden and a beautiful courtyard.
Inside and out, you’ll be spoilt for locations to create romantic portraits. In fact, there are so many beautiful backdrops, I’d recommend an engagement shoot, if poss, to capture them all.
The Grovefield House
The Grovefield House is an Edwardian country hotel in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. When you choose the Grovefield House as your wedding venue, there’s nothing more glorious on a sunny day than an outdoor ceremony in the hotel’s garden pavilion, which also provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photography.
Of course, if you’d prefer to be in air-conditioned comfort, you may find the Huntswood Suite more to your taste. In either case, the hotel can accommodate up to 60 guests for your ceremony and a further 60 for evening celebrations.
Grovefield House packages include complimentary use of the bridal suite for preparations and an overnight stay for you and your new spouse on the evening of your celebrations. The hotel has a further 40 bedrooms for any guests like to stay.
The Langley
The Langley, in Iver, is one of Buckinghamshire’s newest and most luxurious wedding venues. The mid-18th century Palladian mansion sits on a former royal hunting ground comprising 50 acres of parkland and was once the home of the third Duke of Marlborough.
The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 80 guests inside the house and can accommodate around 300 guests for a marquee wedding in the grounds.
For overnight accommodation, the Langley has 41 designer bedrooms, split between the main house and the Grade ll listed Brew House building.
A dream location for wedding photography, the backdrop of Langley house along with its stunning landscaped gardens and serpentine lake will give you the most memorable wedding album imaginable.
Wycombe Abbey
A Grade ll listed neo-Gothic mansion set in 170 acres of Buckinghamshire grounds, Wycombe Abbey offers a genuinely romantic setting for your wedding celebrations. Licenced to hold civil ceremonies, Wycombe Abbey can cater for up to 130 guests for dinner and a further 120 for an evening buffet.
Unfortunately, the venue is currently closed for weddings but hopes to resume operations in the near future.
Wycombe Museum
Located at the stunning Castle Hill House, Wycombe Museum is a pretty and affordable wedding venue right in the heart of High Wycombe.
Close to home [for me], this striking grade II listed venue is an excellent wedding location that I’ve been longing to visit and photograph.
Lush private gardens and eclectic interiors combine to make Castle Hill House a great choice for smaller weddings, while the stable block and gardens are perfect for large groups of up to 92 guests.
How much is a registry office wedding in Buckinghamshire?
In the 2024/25 tax year, the fee for marriages and civil partnerships in Buckinghamshire, starts at £81 but restrictions apply.
Marriages and civil partnerships in Buckinghamshire registry offices, without restrictions, cost £446 for Mon-Thurs weddings, £470 for Fridays, £515 for Saturday, and £614 for Sunday and bank holidays.
For ceremonies at approved venues in Buckinghamshire, the fee is £737 for Mon-Sat weddings, and £790 for Sundays and bank holidays.
In addition to the ceremony fee, you will also be required to pay a booking fee to give notice of your intention to marry in Buckinghamshire. A standard booking fee of £42 per person applies.
In summary, the lowest price you could pay to get married in Buckinghamshire in 2024/25 is £165.

Can you get married at any time of the day in Buckinghamshire?
Legally you can get married at any time of day in Buckinghamshire but finding a registrar or clergy that will marry you outside normal working hours may be tough, there will also be an additional fee. For example, in Buckinghamshire, you can book a registrar for out-of-hours ceremonies between 5.30pm and 7.00pm for Friday and Saturday weddings but no other times are offered and the additional fee will be £279.
From a wedding photography perspective, a summer wedding ceremony between 5.30pm and 7.00pm would be ideal for beautiful flattering light. Having said that, I’ve literally never photographed a wedding ceremony in the UK after 5.30pm.
