To reach the property, you travel along a tree-lined driveway. If you’re getting married towards the end of April, the trees will be covered in white blossom giving you a great opportunity for a few beautiful blossom portraits with your wedding photographer.

At night, the driveway is also illuminated so with a bit of imagination, your photos could be spectacular.

So far, it’s mostly rained when I’ve been to the Oxfordshire but what that tells me is it’s a great location for wedding photography, come rain or shine. Of course, the better the weather, the fewer restrictions there’ll be for accessing different parts of the course.

If you’ve booked your photographer for an 8-10-hour day, it might be worth investing a bit of time to capture some portraits inside the building as well.

The chandelier near the entrance provides a few opportunities, as does the staircase. It’s also worth considering the Lakes Lounge for portraits around the bar and taking it the panoramic view.

I’ve seen the grey suite and the blue one so I can say with confidence that your photographer is sure to appreciate the north-facing aspect of these particular rooms.

In case you didn’t know, a northern aspect gives you beautiful soft light to capture those candid moments as you get ready and a few portraits before the ceremony.
