Le Manoir Wedding Photographer
Thank you for visiting my wedding page for Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. As one of the most fabulous wedding venues in Oxfordshire, I don’t think you can go wrong with Le Manoir. Back in September, I was lucky enough to photograph Jana and Gary’s Le Manoir wedding and I wanted to share my experience of the venue from a photography perspective. I hope you find it useful.
Welcome
Le Manoir aux Quat’saisons
Le Manoir Wedding Photographer | Oxfordshire
Anyone that knows food knows Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire. Perhaps not surprisingly, it’s also a wonderful place to host a wedding. I’ve been dying to photograph a wedding at Le Manoir and in 2024, I got my chance when Jana and Gary invited me to photograph their intimate celebration in September.
I live quite close to the venue, so I took my first opportunity to look around the grounds back in July.
Whenever you get married at Le Manoir, the gardens will be lush but of course some flowers are not in bloom all year round, for example you can see the Lavender in my July photos but it’s gone by Jana and Gary’s wedding in September.
When I visited Le Manoir in July, I wasn’t sure if I was going to get the chance to meet Jana and Gary before their wedding day so I came with a camera and scouted the venue for photo locations we could discuss. You can see some of those locations in the portraits I took but there were many more we could have photographed but of course they needed to get back to their guests.
This first photo below was taken on the bridge in the Japanes Tea Garden. I’m indebted to Jana’s bridesmaid for wrestling with the bush on the right in order to get my flash far enough out over the water to light the bride and groom.
With the exception of the bridge shot earlier, all of the still water on the site had a milky-green algae colour which couldn’t be fixed in post. Having photographed a wedding last week (August 2025) at Le Manoir, I’m delighted to say that all of the water in the ponds is now crystal clear again.
Luckily, Jana and Gary preferred the more natural elements of the garden so they weren’t in the least bit concerned about the colour of the water. Another one of their favourite photo spots was the wildflower garden.
One of my favourite views of Le Manoir is the entrance to the hotel and I was lucky to capture a car-free shot with my couple in the doorway immediately after their wedding ceremony.
Jana and Gary hosted a small outdoor ceremony with a wedding breakfast in La Belle Époque dining room but Le Manoir has an astonishing range of options for hosting a wedding, ranging from 4 people to exclusive use of the hotel and its 27 acres of grounds for up to 100 guests. Please count me in as your Le Manoir wedding photographer for any of those events.
We booked Alison for 3 hours wedding photo shoot of the ceremony, drinks and couple/family photos. Alison was very professional from the outset, together we devised plan of what photos and types we wanted and she was able to accommodate this. Photos turned out very lovely and were sent on personalised USB stick- a touching gesture. Overall very happy with the quality, service and value for money.
