Sheepdrove Wedding Photographer

One of life’s beautiful natural wedding venues. Sheepdrove Organic Farm in Lambourn, Hungerford, is an absolute haven for anyone that enjoys the natural environment.

From fields of grain, wildflower meadows, a secluded lake, and so much more, you’re assured the most wonderful outdoor celebration.

What’s more, your Berkshire wedding photographer could literally shoot for days and not run out of glorious backdrops

Sheepdrove Farm is a carbon neutral venue, sitting on a twenty-acre estate, surrounded by two thousand acres of organic farmland.

The farm can accommodate up to 150 wedding guests for an indoor or outdoor wedding, including festival and tipi style weddings.

There’s also permanent accommodation on the site for around 20 people, including the boathouse by the lake – a stunning romantic hideaway and a perfect location for some romantic portraits with your Berkshire wedding photographer.

One thing you should know however, is that if you don’t book the boathouse for your wedding night, it may be occupied on your wedding day, which means it won’t be available for photos with your Sheepdrove wedding photographer.

That was the case for me although I took these photos of the lake when scouted the venue several weeks earlier.

July was my first time working as a Sheepdrove wedding photographer.

My couple had their official ceremony during Covid but had to wait another year before they could celebrate properly with friends so this event was a vow renewal rather than a wedding.

The Physic garden is partially shaded on a summer’s afternoon which makes it quite pleasant for a drinks reception with guests.

In addition, because it’s a fairly intimate space, if you prefer your Sheepdrove wedding photographer to shoot candid photos, it’s easier for them to slip into the crowd unnoticed.

Also to the front of Sheepdrove Farm, you’ll find an open barn with some old farm machinery and a romany style caravan where you and your guests might like to have a few photos with your Berkshire wedding photographer.

My couple wanted a mixture of portraits and candid photography. Several guests also requested portraits so can find a few examples on this page.

If you do fancy portraits the old farm machinery, make sure you bring a few wipes as the birds seem to like it here too.

To the rear of Sheepdrove Farm, beyond the Physic Garden you’ll find open fields and a pathway down to the lake. This is where you’ll host your tipi or festival-style weddings if that’s what you’ve planned.

It’s also where you’ll find the pathway down to the lake and boathouse.

My digital wedding photography package includes eight hours continuous cover of your Sheepdrove wedding. If you’re getting married from June to August and you’d like to include night portraits, you may need to add a couple of hours to the package.
